The New York Times Book Review App For eReaders
The New York Times Book Review is said to be creating an app for the Kindle, the Nook and Sony Reader. It will satisfy the ereader owner’s need to get a great recommendation before they purchase their next ebook. It will be separate from the New York Times newspaper subscription, and will be available to Sony Reader owners first. Never fear, Kindle and Nook owners will have access to the app shortly after.
When we choose a book, we usually look for our favorite author, or a favorite topic like historical fiction or Sci-Fi. So what will a review by the New York Times benefit us consumers. Well, the most basic questions that an NYT Book Review will answer are the following:
Is this book worth your time?
How are other reading enthusiasts finding it?
How is the book selling?
The trusted opinions of The New York Times Book Review panel will assist the consumer in choosing their next read.
The NYT book review has existed for quite some time and is looked on as reputable and an authority by many consumers. It first was published on October 10, 1896, and readers have trusted it ever since to get solid information on current fiction and non-fiction books. This app will cater to the hard-core book lover who is interested in having access via their ereader.
The popular newspaper publisher picks books for review based on importance and notability. Additionally, they look for new authors who have written unique books that don’t compare to other story lines. Each week The Review receives between 750 to 1000 books, and only 20 to 30 are chosen for review.
Although the cost hasn’t been released yet, it is hopeful that the app is affordable for those who want access to a recommendation service. This was a smart decision made by the NYT as they don’t suffer from a lot of competition in this niche. Sure, consumers look to blogs and other articles on the net about a book, but with the reputation of the New York Times Book Review, it will probably be a quite popular resource.
The New York Times Book Review App is a great complement to your ebook reading device and ebook collection. To find out more about the best handheld ebook readers in the market such as the popular Amazon Kindle, visit us today!
