Compaq Presario Desktop – A Quick Review

Design: The Compaq Presario CQ5320F is a standard medium tower desktop system that fits just as well underneath a desk as well as on top of it. With a black aluminum plastic chassis the desktop looks at home in a corporate environment as much as it would inside a home.

Specifications: Powered by a genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit operating system, the Compaq Presario CQ5320F makes the most of its components. This includes an AMD Sempron LE-1300 processor with 2GB of DDR2 memory and a 320GB SATA hard disk drive. Like many basic systems the desktop uses integrated graphics, namely the NVIDIA GeForce 6150 SE. The desktop has a Super Multi optical disc drive for DVD/CD and other optical disc media read and archiving. Connectivity-wise the system offers an Ethernet port to go with a 56k modem. Other connections include a headphone and microphone jack, six USB ports, a VGA port and audio jacks. While the Compaq Presario CQ5300F offers everything required for a basic system it also offers numerous expansion opportunities including a PCI slot, two PCI-e x1 slots and a PCI-e x16 slot.

Features & Performance: For its price the Compaq Presario CQ5320F delivers the ability to browse the Internet, play some casual games, do office work and watch DVD movies. The system is very stable but cannot handle more intense applications like image and video manipulation, 3D rendering or the latest 3D games. It does deliver a surprisingly good integrated audio solution including the ability to configure up to six speakers simultaneously. The integrated graphics allows DVD quality movies and below 720p HD video. Expansion or upgrading is easy with plenty of space to install an extra high definition audio card, wireless network card and discrete graphics card. While most graphic cards should fit into the casing bear in mind that you may need to upgrade the PSU as well. The software bundle included with the desktop offers plenty of options including an anti-virus, office application and media player. Overall the Compaq Presario CQ5320F delivers very good bang for your buck as both a home desktop unit or as an office workstation.

“Unattractive lesbian” is an oxymoron. I don’t believe it, I won’t have it. I see beyond this modern world’s predilection for square hips and plastic chassis. I look to the horizon to the heart of fire that burns inside of each of us. Passion. Passion so pure it drives the barbarians and vampires to the hill sides leaving us to dine in sweet moonlit valley. tl;dr Absolutely.

Put the disk in the drive. Turn the computer off. Turn the computer on. When it says to press any key to boot from CD, press a key. If it still can't find any disk drives, your hard drive controller is bad – you'll need a hard drive controller card or a new motherboard.

Did you eject your flash drive? If you right-clicked the flash drive and clicked "Eject" or clicked eject in the sidebar on Windows, then this might happen. Your computer has disconnected itself from your flash drive, but because it's still plugged in, it still appears as an empty object with no disk drive.

To fix this, all you need to do is unplug it and plug it back in. Still doesn't work? Try plugging it in in a different spot. Still doesn't work/no other spots? See if your flash drive is completely broken or not by plugging it into a [...]
