Spreading The Good News through Christian Clothing

Being a Jesus billboard starts with a very simple thing. It doesn;t need to be complicated at all. We don;t eed to be Bible experts or theological giants. All we have to be is willing to show the world through our everyday behavior and activities who we are and what we are about. And he world notices. A great way to get their attention is by wearing our witness by putting religious items on our bodies.

We may not get their attention at church but out there in the marketplace, with religious items we sure can.

A majority of unchurched Americans are turned off by the institutional church and don’t have a biblical understanding about God and Jesus, yet they believe Jesus makes a positive difference in a person’s life and would enjoy an honest discussion with a friend about spiritual matters and Reaching others for Jesus..

Those are just a few of the findings from a new study of unchurched Americans conducted by LifeWay Research, a research company that specializes in Being a Jesus billboard.

The results of the study, which polled 1,402 adults who had not attended a religious service at a church, synagogue or mosque in the previous six months, have important implications for Christian churches and individuals who want to effectively reach unchurched people by Being a Jesus billboard. And they underscore why wearing Reaching others for Jesus works for everyday Gospel presentations.

“A full 72 percent of the people interviewed said they think the church ‘is full of hypocrites,’” the study said. “At the same time, however, 71 percent of the respondents said they believe Jesus ‘makes a positive difference in a person’s life’ and 78 percent said they would ‘be willing to listen’ to someone who wanted to talk what they believed about Christianity through Christian witnessing.”

Wearing religious items gives real people in real situations an opportunity to share Christ in non-threatening or institutional settings. We know our job as believers is to tell the world of the hope we truly have in Jesus.

That means we can practice evangelism by becoming a walking billboard. If you need inspiration, think of the words of the great apostle Paul who told the Corinthian church, that we are to consider ourselves “Christ’s ambassadors… as if God was making his appeal through us.”

There’s an old cliche that says that the Christian may be the only Bible some people read. How much easier it is if there’s a Bible verse across our shirt.

Sharing Christ involves a lot more than just talking. It means being lights in a dark world.

1979-80–I was in the 4th grade. Real people and the Dukes of Hazzard were by far the two most popular shows of the day for us. And of course we all had a crush on Sarah.

pursueing God, or spiritual matters, is the most important thing one can do. If you wait too long, and you die before knowing God, then what will happen to your soul?

If you don't believe in God, or trust Him with knowing Him, then I sadly say, your sould will perish.
Hell is real, God is real.

It is your decision, alone. No one can force you to believe, and if you decide to search the Scriptures in God's word, you will find the answers you are seeking.

Because if you want to spend eternity pursuing pleasant spiritual matters, you attend to the spiritual matters here first.

Kind of surprising, given all the attention to strengthening families in Christian churches.

The catholic organization is not the Christian church of the NT Book of Acts. There is no way around that.

This is a bit long so I will address your first contention:

    1. If it is not a institutional church Christ founds or forms with his "Disciples" why would there be offices for Apostles? Also Acts 11:19 (how can those who are not united be scattered) but I understand that if one leaves the source they can be corrupted.

Offices are required for any organization. Just because the catholics have an organization does not mean that it is the one [...]
