1. Begin training your dog as soon as possible. The longer you wait, the more ingrained your dog’s bad habits become.2. Pay attention to when your dog has to use the restroom. They usually have to go within minutes of eating, waking and playing. Take them outside at those times and reward them with treats when they use the restroom outdoors.3. If you are crate training, do not leave your pet in a crate for more than four hours. A puppy can not hold it that long and you do not want them to get used to going in the crate.4. Socialize your new puppy as much as possible. Introduce them to other dogs and people so that they will not become aggressive.5. Never train your dog when you are upset. If you dog is afraid of you, they will not learn. Never use their name in anger. The last thing you want is for them to associate their name with something bad.

My husband and I had the opportunity to see England and Paris in March of 2009 and the one big thing that we would change about our Paris experience was to budget more money for food. We were astounded at the prices of food even in a cafe and as a result we only went to one and ended up surviving mostly on crepes (which was pretty great, but still you get my point). I was not impressed with the Champs Elyees, but I liked Notre Dame a lot. We stayed in a really cute inexpensive hotel just two blocks [...]

But her story seems worth telling for the same reason that tales of the Holocaust are worth telling. It has intrinsic human interest. And throws light on and draws attention to the humanitarian/political crisis in Columbia, where the U.S. is deeply invested. I believe there are hundreds of others like her still being held in captivity, though I am ashamed to say this is the first I have heard about them.

start the pup very early with a GOOD dog trainer where you work with the dog & the trainer. Choose a trainer that works with & knows working breeds very very well. Choose a protection dog trainer that is NOT all about bite work, but knows the importance of solid obedience training. You dont have to do protection training A GOOD protection dog trainer knows this breed well and wont force you to train protection, but in my opinion they offer the best obedience training for this breed.

I agree with and love everything that you wrote except for one point. Precisely *because* Pit Bulls are prone to dog aggression and often have very little impulse control (and well-meaning but naive owners), the dog park really isn’t the place for most of them (or for that matter, many of the dogs that are taken to dog parks). Other than that, excellent post! My Pittie girl, Emma, shares her home and life with Charlie, her Poodle brother, who makes the best blanket in cooler weather!

    Where's the human interest, man?

Traveler RANDOM_PERSON said, “I was out on the road, and like, gosh, N feet of snow! I said to RANDOM_PERSON2, I said, `Look, RANDOM_PERSON2,' N*2 feet of snow!' Global warming my foot! No way I'm making it to CITY_OF_PEOPLE_WITH_UNEXAMINED_LIVES in time for SOLSTICE_RELATED_EVENT. I just hope my COMPANION_ANIMAL_SPECIES doesn't DISGUSTING_BIOLOGICAL_THING on my FABRIC_ARTIFACT.”

It's normally always best to confine your dog to his crate when you go out-obviously not ALL day. If you leave him out you are going to get accidents and it will affect the crate training process. Leave a couple of toys in the Crate and something that has your smell on iy so that it comforts him, and don't make a big deal about leaving the House as this will get him worked up.

They also need a lot of exercise so get one inless you have a big yard or a dog park you can take them too. And doberman pretty when their fat!!
