These are PROS, not cons. I am a vegan and do not eat any living creature, thus, regulating factory farming is a plus. Second, I want dog breeding to go out of business. The English Mastiff can be called the Old English Mastiff or just Mastiff..all are equally applicable.
The Bullmastiff is simply that…no "English" prefix. In the states here, alot of this giant group are called hence the term "English" being put infront of Mastiff.
There really is no need to put English infront of Bullmastiff since the "Bull" is the distinguishing feature from the other mastiffs.
Perhaps they wanted to make sure everyone knew the origins? Dunno, but you were correct. Yes all Bullmastiffs will have the "english" bloodlines, duh, it was a breed developed in England.
