Fair Debt Collection Ignore The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act

Before I even began to think about waking up I heard a bang on my front door, not just a bang, loud bangs, over and over . I tried to roll over and ignore it, but it just got louder and louder. Then whomever it was started ringing the doorbell over and over. I couldn’t take it anymore. [spin] Confused, I jumped out of my bed, threw some clothes on and stumbled down the stairs to the front door .
And who was it?
It was the prince of Fair debt collection informing me personally that I had to repay this loan I took to help pay for my mortgage right then and right now.
So I have more debt than I can handle . Am I the only one? Debt Collectors’s a practical field of employment and do they have to be so rude about it just because you owe money? You may think that it is Collection harassment, but its still Debt Harassment if there is someone screaming down your throat every chance they get it seems as if they are not just doing their job, they are letting out their own frustrations .
It looks as if I am a deadbeat that doesn’t pay his bills. It’s not like that. I took out thousands of dollars in debt for college and I am paying them back religiously every month. It isn’t easy and it won’t be done tomorrow, but I’m slowly and surely doing it. I do actually want to make good on all my debts. However, just because I haven’t been able to yet doesn’t mean that I deserve this kind of treatment from a debt collector.
I am a good person . I’m a not a loser and I’m not trying to hide anything, but that’s precisely how this debt collector is making me feel and I have the feeling that I am not the only one. [spin] I can guarantee that everyone who is experience this type of Debt Harassment is ready to become a criminal | I bet all kinds of people are sick and tired of this type of Debt Harassment.
So I slammed the door in his face and went back upstairs to sleep until my alarm clock went off and I had to get up for work. After work that night I came home and looked up fair debt collection and found out that my instincts were right. A while back, Congress approved the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, or FDCPA.
The FDCPA state that a Debt Collectors can only call you at certain times, particularly not before 8 in the morning and not after 9 at night. They also have to identify themselves by name, which my visitor hadn’t. I also learned that he can’t contact me again unless I request that he do so and that, if in writing, I contacted him and the agency he works for saying I can’t pay the debt or that I don’t want them contacting me again then they can’t.
And a Debt Collectors certainly can’t intimidate you or mistreat you in any way or use any type of profane speech . All that’s simply part of common courtesy and professionalism, but, apparently, many Debt Collectors pay no attention to that and the FDCPAws that make it legally necessary. The best thing one can do for oneself is educate themselves about the FDCPA and how they can fight against Debt Collectors if they ever cross the line .

My girlfriend and I were once in a hotel celebrating the anniversary. A bit of loud sex later – we had our neighbors bang on our walls and got the hotel staff called on us

I know how you feel. If your property is in a trust, then you should be alright if its done properly.
I would ring the debt collectors and organise paying back the debt. Over time. They will assess how much you can pay back per week.
Then aleast you are doing something about it.
They will take further action if you leave it too long.

You need: * Food * Shelter * Clothing * Transportation * Heat (if it’s cold) Everything else is optional and unsecured credit-card debt is at the bottom of the pile. I wouldn’t pay them until I have take care of everything else and have saved some money. Anything you do aside from paying on time, will trash your credit, so pick what causes you the least problems. > I understand that the only power a bank or debt collector has is to garnish my bank account. You understand incorrectly. A bank can’t do any of those things. A court can, [...]
