Who Else Wants To Learn Ojibwe And Speak Without An Accent ?

The language Ojibwe comes from the Ojibwe Native American tribe. These people were and continue to be intriguing in both tradition and language. For those who have an interest in learning the language, for any reason, now have lots of options available to them.

Perhaps one of the most popular ways of learning Ojibwe is to get a downloadable audio book.

Downloadable audio books provide a resource to people that do not want to be tied to a course. Through these audio books, anyone is able to take an Ojibwe language course from the comfort of their own audio device. You can put these audio books on any mp3 player, CD player, I-pod, or other music playing device.

There are many benefits to learning Ojibwe this way.

Perhaps the best reason to download an audio book is the time flexibility. There is no commitment of time to a class or school. You can listen to the course at any time of day or night. By using an audio book, you are able to learn the language in your car on the way to the store or work. This makes learning Ojibwe so much easier.

Audio books can come in various different forms. They used to be mostly cassette tapes, but more and more are hitting the market in CD form.

The library has many audiobooks on cassette and CD that can be checked out for 3 weeks, and range from introductory sessions to intermediate and advanced for some languages.

This means that you are getting an instant product that you can then put on a CD or other MP3 playing device.

The best advantage of downloadable audio books, combined with the use of portable Mp3 players is convenience. You can listen to your Ojibwe language course, while doing boring or repetitive tasks. This way, we can fill the “dead” moments we all have in our lives and increase our knowledge at the same time.

It is important to shop around when looking for an audio book. You need to get a course that you will be able to understand and follow. If you have trouble following the course, then you will probably not pick up the language. If you are serious about learning Ojibwe, look online for the various versions of the audio book that are available.

the Cherokees most likely used the African slaves as slaves and not as equal citizens. It is a common misconception that the majority of African descendants have Native American ancestry. This is almost unlikely due to the fact that few African slaves actually left the plantation and most who were in Native American tribes were black men or kidnapped African women. Cherokees during the time of black slavery were assimilated into "white" society. In other words, black people were used as property and nothing else. There is only a small percentage of black people of Native American descent. most black [...]

Yeah, the jargon is bad. It’s the unholy alliance of sciency and computery words. One of the tools (Galaxy) is written in Python. I tried to convince my boss we should install it so I’d have a good excuse to learn. I’m agnostic about perl. It’s the first real coding language I used, so I don’t see it like others do. Pay sucks balls. I work in a University that has just undergone a pay & job freeze. My boss says he wants to give me a raise, but can’t despite the fact that our money comes from a grant [...]

    Alexis,
I think it might be good for Rod to listen to some good worship music…and perhaps some recorded Bible readings. Is this possible?
Maybe an IPod or continuous play cd player. For the sake of the “inner man being renewed day by day…
We are not where you are now, But…I do know that there is grace from God to help you in the time of need. “Call upon the name of the Lord, and you will be saved and your house”

Wow, only 18 and I feel old! I believe that the girl said that. crazy!

a boring person. I think I named my tapes like "(my music" or "songs that I like" and stuff. I was kind of late in the CD burning thing. Cassette tapes were cheap for my family and I.

Although, I guess just add (since it has a wierd name) that the first CD I ever burned was named "Pebbles and Bam Bam." ask.

PS: One time a told a 12 year old girl that her hair looked like a Farrah Fawcett haircut. And then she [...]
