Tuning Your BMW

One of the most frequent inquiries I get is “Where do I commence?”. You will find a lot of BMW efficiency options available and some possibilities are not popping to give you the end result you desire. It can be crucial that you choose wisely, get superior top quality parts, and set them up appropriately.

For many late model BMWs, the top horsepower acquire per dollar is via a software program upgrade. You can find a complete host of suppliers out there who supply software program downloads to boost horsepower and torque and likewise usually get rid of the leading speed limiter and lift the rpm limit. For cars manufactured following 1996 inside the US this is quite vital. Till the software is upgraded, an cold air intake or efficiency exhaust won’t lead to any increases.

Immediately after the software program upgrade, then I would buy a BMW air intake to get far more O2 and cooler air in to the intake manifold. Most are usually fairly easy to setup.

When these actions are total, then consider a efficiency exhaust. This may supply less back pressure, additional horsepower plus a meaner exhaust note. Brands like UUC, Remus, and Borla are prevalent BMW alternatives and may be bought essentially BMW parts aftermarket specialists. Perform some homework to make sure you will be purchasing at a manufacturer that may offer you the most beneficial advice on your precise type of BMW. Purchasing the right component the initial time, before you put in it, will make certain yo have the performance gains you desire.

Each and every of those modifications is easily reversible and definately will increase the driving enjoyment of one’s auto. Please ensure that you obey the nearby and state rules exactly where you reside for modifying your BMW.

I picked up performance exhaust and air filter. Then started the re-jetting processes.I'm not trying to deter sales from you guys but I found a cheap way to make a performance intake for the performance air filter.Just putting the air filter on the carb really leaves some desire for throttle response and the fuel delivery,so I came up with this solution. Stainless 90 degree drain pipe for sinks, just cut off the flange, clean it with some water and dry it.Then get the rubber connectors with the hose clamps used for PVC pipes. The pipe is $6 and the rubber connector was [...]

Well, this is the third time I've tried to post a follow-up to this post; however most of what Liberty Scott states is correct. I would add that the size of the rail corridor, tunnels, viaducts, etc. would make such conversion uneconomic. Like LS states, the UK context is different from NZ – their rail corridor is far wider, and they have far fewer large viaducts (well Mersey and Fourth River excluded).I'd also add that since at least 1981 (if not then 1991 or 1993) rail transport has been run as a private concern, and was profitable, although not enough for its shareholders [...]

BALTIMORE/DC WATCH REPAIRSFinding a skilled watch repair person is indeed challenging these days. Those interested in good quality–but notnecessarily “luxury”–mechanical watches are often caught between the world of quartz watches (which require minimal attention) and that of high-end mechanical watches (which may require expensive attention). In the days before I knew how to judge the relative quality of mechanical watches–and generally avoid overpriced brands–I thought nothing of dropping hundreds for a minor repair or cleaning. My first good watch was a used Rolex Submariner from 1972, which I bought in 1989 for $1,000. Several years later, I dropped over $500 [...]
