New England Clambake Delicious Seafood Delight
A fantastic way to cook fresh seafood including lobster, mussels, crab, clams and even quahogs is a New England clambake. In this dish, seafood is usually accompanied by sausage, potatoes, onions, carrots, corn or other vegetables. A New England Clambake is frequently prepared to celebrate special occasions all along the New England coastline.
If you wish to prepare a New England Clambake, start by locating kelp and other natural sea plants. When placed appropriately, seaweed acts as a conduit for heating. If you will not be using the things you have collected immediately, have a large cooler on hand to store what you have gathered with enough salt water. If you have not done this before, you will also need to collect rocks of appropriate shape and size. Those can be taken with you and reused in the future.
In conclusion, as is the case with any situation where you are using steam to prepare food, you will need to enclose everything under a covering of some sort. This allows the energy to spread evenly, and thoroughly cook everything under the cover. In many cases, as tarp or several potato sacks doused in ocean water are used. This is because such surfaces are good at keeping heat within, yet letting air through.
Steaming lets all the flavors from the ingredients emerge and blend slowly so that a harmony of flavors it’s achieved. All while not over cooking the ingredients, something very important when cooking mollusks since they tend to vary on cooking times. Usually fish takes much less time to cook than squid, and shrimp takes less time than fish, by using the steaming method, one is allowed to cook all kinds of ingredients with much less opportunity to overcook others.
For a truly great clambake, you must have the freshest seafood. A New England Clambake and a Cape Cod Clambake are very similar. Both include basically the same ingredients. The Cape Cod Clambake is cooked in the same fashion as the New England, too.
Are you one of the people who think that a clambake is the best thing in the world? Although I tend to argue about culinary preferences, I just don’t have anything to say about whether a clambake is one of the greatest eating experiences for a seafood lover or not.
The classic recipe for a New England Clambake starts with gathering seaweed along the shore; it is a vital ingredient for helping to prepare the food. You will also need several round stones, medium in size, to be heated in the pit. Stones, or often cannon balls, are used to absorb and radiate heat in the cooking process. To make the clambake worthwhile, it is desirable to use fresh seafood. Both clambakes use very similar ingredients and the methods used for preparing the Cape Cod Clambake are the same as those used to prepare that made in New England.

August has always been my favorite month because every day is clear and hot, and the ocean water is warm enough to swim and play in. Except this year. This has been the coolest (not in a good way) summer I can ever remember here in San Diego. So sad. Wonder if that means we'll have an unusually cold, rainy winter. We definitely could use extra rain.
Hope your vacation at the Oregon coast is everything your dreaming of!
Indian pressure cookers are the way to go for fast, foolproof, healthy food. Most of them come with a bunch of European-friendly recipes, in English, in the little booklet. The technique is “toss stuff into pot; when pot makes noise, turn off heat”, and the average cooking times are under 10 minutes.

Business can bar service for trying to bring in outside food and drink. In other words they can tell you you can't come in to their establishment. If you don't like the idea then don't go to the movies. Theaters make much of their money by selling you that $6.00 box of popcorn.
Depending on the context, I'd translate it as either generally
"Essen und Trinken" ("Essen and Trinken ist für das Überleben notwendig" – "Food and drink are necessary for survival") or "Speisen und Getränke" (in the plural, as in "For food and drink, the amount spent was …" – 'Die Ausgaben für Speisen und Getränke beliefen sich auf…")
