Facial Hair

Men growing hair on their faces is common, if they want they can grow and nourish it or if they want they can either go for grooming with a process of moisturizing, shaving, primping and tweezing, to make themselves ready to face the day. But in the case of women having hair on the face can be very awkward. For some women, excess hair, especially on the face, is something which can be problematic and for some, very embarrassing…

Women having hairs on the face and doing nothing to tame it is even more worse. I am not trying to tease or to be heartless, but I am sure that there may be a valid reason for these poor women not being able to take care of the excess growth. Unwanted facial hair for a woman can be annoying and embarrassing. The condition, called hirsutism, may be a result of excess androgen (a male sex hormone) and/or sensitivity to it. These androgens can also produce adult acne, seborrhea and even bald spots. There are a number of treatment options available to rid yourself of this unwanted hair. Sometimes a combination of different types of treatments works well. There is no single type of treatment for unwanted hair removal that works for all women. It is very dependent of where the hair is, the type of hair (dark hair versus light hair), the amount of hair, your age and what procedure or treatment you are comfortable with. Don’t give me those old wives tales about hair growing in thicker if you shave it. Who cares how the hair feels? Get rid of it! Facial hair on a woman is downright nasty. I don’t care if it becomes barbed wire when you shave – get rid of it. Shave it off, pluck it out, mow it down! But that nasty facial hair needs to be gone!

We have a girl working as a security guard in our building and she is also somewhat overweight, well I am not trying to be insensitive or trying to tease her but it is a fact. And this girl is also afflicted with facial hair that’s simply out of control. But the main thing is that she is not doing anything to try to stop it. Well someone should tell her that this is not a vegetable that she is trying to grow, that is a beard which she is growing it on her face and it looks damn ugly.

Facial hair on a man has it’s place and every man has a right to choose whether he will have a beard, a mustache or a goatee. However, facial hair on a woman is unacceptable in our society. And, just as a man must maintain his grooming regimen to remain attractive, women cannot just let a problem like this go and expect it to go unnoticed.

Let’s just hope I don’t have my tweezers handy the next time I see that security guard. Would tweezers be considered a weapon? I just might give her a lesson or two.

Y'all don't know how happy (and at the same time kind of freaked out – b/c of the later years info) I am to be reading this!!! Unwanted facial hair has been my secret shame for some time now. I can't even make myself type out how I deal with it 'cause it's soooo embarrassing! I too keep looking for drugstore solutions and praying that one day I can afford laser hair removal! I have hair where a woman just shouldn't have hair and it makes me feel so unfeminine! I'm very glad to know that I'm not the only [...]
