Dress To Impress

Although office environment is changing nowadays in terms of dress code from formal to casuals, still the old adage “dress to impress” still rules. When research is done you will find the dress code for employees. If you ask the consultants or the faculty and professionals in your field of interest, Jobs like accounting, Law and Banking have stict guidelines in terms of office dress code, while Jobs like advertising, retail and sales allow more casual dress…

If you are going for interview then it is not advisable to go in formals, because a person looks decent and impresses the interviewer. If you are not quite sure about what to wear, than it is always advisable to be overdressed than to be undressed for the occasion. If you are not dressed properly than your interviewer might think you’re a slob or too casual and might not be able to do the job perfectly. And there is chance of rejection. The level of formality you project shows that you understand the importance of the situation and respect the person you are meeting. When in doubt, making a conservative clothing choice for your interview is usually the safest.

If you dress to impress, your strategy will probably work. For men this means a full formal dress of dress pants, dress shirt and a silk tie. For women, the best dress is the long skirt and a professional shirt. Although this may look old fashioned, but that is exactly one should be in until the you clear the interview and join the company. If on the first day of your job you show up wearing a tie while everyone else in the office is in golf shirts, you wont feel bad though, however if you show up in golf shirt while everyone else is in three piece suit then it is real trouble. When you dress to impress you always err towards the side of dressing too formally.

Now if you say that I cannot afford to buy a whole lot of business suits as they are too costly, then I would like to tell you that you can go with number of different shirts and tie’s and you can make a good combination of these extra shirts and ties with having a few coats or jackets. And this way you can save money as well as also you can dress to impress. For more information visit consumer reports or free consumer reports.

I have 2 sets of custom fitted earplugs that I have for work, I’m in construction. They are absolutely amazing. The first pair has a hole drilled through them that allows you to hear conversations better and is meant to be used in situations that aren’t as intense. The second set is a solid pair that the vendor said is a 90% reduction to noise levels. In an office environment when you have the solid set in you cannot hear a conversation 10 feet away. Also what is nice is it is impossible to put them in wrong, if [...]
