The fact is that there will always be malware that is ready to infest your computer and in this case, coders have to work around the clock so that they can write the appropriate detection and removal programs. In fact, those that handle these programs that affect your computers must have nerves of steel. I say this because it must be really frustrating to see that there will always be other malicious programs that will surface and you must be ready to have the antidote.

If you are a talented coder and you like a challenge, then the malware detection and removal business is the one for you. I don’t think that there is a possibility for you to get bored because you won’t have time to take a breath at the rate the malicious programs appear. In case you are a hacker and you don’t have anything better to do than write malicious software, than you could consider this as your job.

Software that can cause problems will always be written because there are those of us that make it a personal habit of finding out what other users have stored on their pc. The other reason could be because they can infiltrate and corrupt a computer without being detected and this gives them a sense of domination over other computers.

I am willing to take a bet that a power failure has happened at least once in your life while you wore working on your computer. If this is the case, you most definitely went a little crazy because you might have lost your work.

All I can say is that you are not the only one that has encountered such a situation and you will definitely not be the last. You have to realize that not every time your computer shuts down without a reason your work will be lost. There are cases when the operating system saves your files every couple of minutes or hours, preventing these kinds of things from ruining your entire work. If you want to put a stop to these problems permanently, you could consider buying an alternative power source such as an UPS and then when everyone is left in the dark, you will still be able to continue your work.

Sometimes, when power failures strike, your computer could be vulnerable to short circuits on the motherboard or other devices. The worst case scenario is that you can fry your motherboard and then when the power comes back up, you’ll find that your computer is unresponsive. This happens rarely and it is the power unit that burns out in these cases. Still, you need to be aware of the dangers of power fluctuations and prevent them as much as possible.

My advice to you is that if you live in an area that has frequent power failures or you have a lousy electrical wiring and your fuses keep burning out, buying a device that can act like a generator and connect your computer to it. This way you can avoid any data losses, could be a great idea.

Lulu, I watched it on YouTube! Congratulations on nerves of steel – they go well with the Chicklets and pretzels! You replied to my youngest sister's comment, so obviously, you agree that oldest sister's rock, don't you? You come from a fine family of folks ready to party at the drop of a Red Sox hat. Hope your sales are through the roof already!

I have several computers running Windows. All are used heavily online. None of them have antivirus software installed. None of them have ever been infected.

Most infections come about because of carelessness. As long as you have safe browsing habits and are careful when using your email, your risk is greatly minimized.

Granted, Mac users, statistically, suffer from malware infection far less, and this is due to the market share of the Mac OS. There are simply so many more systems running Windows, and therefore, it is far more profitable for a writer of malicious software to target that platform. [...]

If it is pulled, there’ll be no further updates – so eventually it’ll fail due to iOS updates being incompatible or other weirdness – but, while Apple does have the ability to disable apps you’ve already downloaded, they haven’t used it yet, even in cases of apps enabling tethering and other things Apple doesn’t want. It appears they’re intending this ability to only be used on actually malicious programs. So, yes, VLC will probably continue to work even if it does get pulled.

Windows 7 is an operating system, not a browser. Internet explorer doesnt allow you to block ads or browse 10 times as fast does it now?
