Product Description

If you are trying to decide between our Memory Foam Mattress Toppers and our ErgoSoft Natural Latex Mattress Toppers, here are some of the basic differences. Latex is known for its longevity, durability, resilience, and luxury feel. Because latex is so springy and resilient, it is appropriate for heavier body weights, as it will spring back and recover time and again. Latex also tends to have a more firm feel, making it ideal for those who like a firm sleep surface. Our cozy natural latex toppers are springy yet soft, and also anti-microbial and hypoallergenic.

Latex Mattresses – Be Sure You Make the Right Choice

Buying a new mattress can fill some people with a fear and dread. With so many different types to choose from and every retailer claiming that theirs is the best on the market it can almost make you scared that the one you chose has just cost you a deal on a better product. With so many stores to choose from with differing prices and features it’s a very difficult decision to make.

A latex mattress is a very good choice for those that may have any allergies and as such are growing in popularity. There are some things to look out for when buying a latex mattress though.

You must be assured of the quality of the latex used in the manufacture of the mattress. The latex mattress industry has several manufacturers that consistently produce high quality latex that is used in mattresses. Because of its durability and the extended warranties they carry it is well worth the extra little it will cost to be sure of getting an all natural latex mattress. Be very aware of the low end latex mattresses that are originating from the emerging markets such as China. This cheap type of mattress will not give you the same feel or support and it won’t last as long as a latex mattress made from top quality materials.

It’s not only the latex used that can make a difference to the mattress but the cover as well. The very cheap materials can make the price look like it’s a good deal but will do nothing to improve the overall feel and performance of your mattress. Wool is a very good breathable and anti-microbial vehicle that can be used as a batting material that should be used in the quilted covers on a natural latex mattress. Look for certified organic wool when buying a 100% natural latex mattress not only is it breathable it’s very environmentally friendly. The quality of cover used for latex mattresses is not only dependent on the type of material used but also the ticking the way in which it is woven into the fabric. Tencel which is fiber made from wood pulp is another good material to use in mattress covers it has a nice supple feel to it and will also stretch with the latex to match your body.

Try to make sure the retailer of your choice has been in the mattress business for a long time you can then rest assured that they a reputation in the business and that they will not be going out of business any time soon. A company that has been around at least 15 years is a good bet.

Ask about the companies exchange policy some retailers will not be you an exchange after you have made the purchase which could leave you with a mattress that is of no use to you. Try to use a retailer with an exchange policy that will allow you to change the mattress should it not be to your liking.
