How to Get the Most Out of Your Turkey Fryers & Fish Cookers

When you go shopping for barbecue grills you will come across fish fryers and turkey fryers along with the various electric, gas and charcoal grills. Grill manufacturers offer a range of propane fish cookers and turkey fryers and these can be really convenient for cooking fried fish, French fries, steaks and all those other recipes you have probably been meaning to try from your cookbook. You also get fish cooker smoker combos enabling you use them as smokers as well as fish fryers. So let us look at some more details about fryers.

Fish fryers are popular cooking equipment that come with all that you need to turn out a delicious meal, like a single heavy duty burner that you can connect to your propane tank, a big fry pot that is made of cast iron aluminum or stainless steel, a basket, a gas regulator, a hose and adeep fry thermometer to measure the temperature. If you decide to go in for an expensive model, you would get multiple burners, accessories for steaming or boiling foods like vegetables, fish, etc.

The southerners love deep fried turkey and thus the turkey fryer was born. What used to be a cumbersome job before has now become a pleasure with turkey fryers, as it is possible to cook the entire bird. Deep fried turkey is a specialty, with the crisp skin, wings and juicy tender meat. Electric means of frying turkeys are equally convenient. During the winter holidays, when you plan that special turkey dinner on Thanksgiving day, you will be amazed to find that the cooking time for turkey via fryer is only about three quarters of an hour instead of the several hours that it used to take earlier.

Turkey fryers, while similar to fish cookers, come with a larger fry pot with a lid. They also have a special turkey rack and a hook. They also come with an injector that you can use to fill your bird with marinades and sauces for those delectable flavors. Other accessories you can choose are cooking utensils, funnels and pumps for extracting and storing the cooking oil, etc.

Electric turkey fryers actually came on the scene just a few years ago. The Bayou classic turkey fryers are a class apart, coming from a brand that is well known for its quality. These turkey fryers can be used for boiling and steaming vegetables and seafood, in addition to frying turkey and fish. The Bayou classic turkey cooker come with a variety of choices from the all stainless steel kits with steel pots and burners, to the aluminum pots, burners, and deep fry thermometers. They also come with lots of accessories so that you can have your fried turkey in forty five minutes. Burners are CSA approved.

Incidentally, indoor turkey fryers are not to be used outdoors, unless you use a covered garage or patio. Obviously electric equipment is not used where they are likely to be exposed to rains. It is also not a good idea to use extension cords with your turkey fryers or fish cookers as this can lengthen the cooking time for turkey fryers, resulting in more fuel usage. Another problem with electric extension cords is you or someone could trip over it.

Bayou also make high BTU fish cookers that come with a tall welded steel frame, a ten quart aluminum fry pot and basket, a UL approved hose and regulator valve assembly and a type 1 green hand wheel connector. Bayou classic turkey fryers are versatile and sturdy and when you do not use the basket, you can use the unit for canning.

Dr. Tooth typically uses EVOO to cook with. Except for deep frying turkeys…that requires peanut oil. :) We had a hectic weekend, but this week seems to be a bit more spread out. Maybe I’ll catch a nap somewhere.

You know that weird thing that happens when you look at the same word for too long? Like it stops meaning anything and just becomes a jumble of lines and shapes? That's happening now.

    Lion
    Lion
    Lion
    Lion

    Ugh. Weird.

Try this: if you read the following ten times, the same thing happens to each of the words

    fried fresh fish
    fried fish fresh
    fresh fried fish
    fresh fish fried
    fish fried fresh
    fish fresh fried

Even typing it is bad enough. The words started to crawl off the page before I'd finished.

I would get some new cookware and bakeware. Mine is pretty well spent -or burned or broken- after cooking for 6 people for years!

there is a new product out that now "fry's" without the oil.. I haven't tried it yet, but I have heard that it works okay..

A note on turkey fryers.. I have 3 and I use them for catering and home use. They work great, so long as you follow proper safety guidelines and use the proper amount of oil.. You can even re use the oil.

At home I have a special place set up in my yard away from my house for the fryer. I have never had an accident, but with that said I keep a large [...]

Jakes says he barely avoided explosion

DALLAS — Dallas megachurch pastor T.D. Jakes says a last-minute change of plans saved him from being killed in a natural gas explosion at his home.

Jakes told thousands at a Sunday service at The Potter House that he would have been getting dressed near the blast last week had he not suddenly had the feeling he should call off an early morning meeting. The blast that ripped through an area of his 15,000-square-foot home did not result in any injuries.

Jakes' voice shook Sunday during his emotional account of how he and [...]

Your teacher probably wants some context about the author to fill out your paper. Write a general overview of what the author was like, and the major events in the life.

With these specifics, take note of the books from which you got the information. Did your teacher specify a writing style (Chicago, MLA, Turabian, etc.)? There are good websites for each of these that will guide you through how to cite your sources. For any of these, unless your teacher says otherwise, need to do both in-text and bibliographic citations.

    For MLA:

    For Chicago:

    Good luck!
