I have never seen a degree in "visual arts" – but that does not mean there is not one. If you see this offered in a college catalogue, read the information within the catalogue which will describe it and the required courses to obtain it.

Most art inclined people get a BA (Bachelor of Arts) which can be one of a variety of things, e.g. English or History, Art or they choose to get a Bachelor of Fine Arts (which means you have to have a show of your work at the end of the final year of study, as [...]

I am a Laser Aesthetician who does Tattoo Removal. I use the Ruby Laser which doesn't remove Red. The Yag Laser doesn't remove Green. And NO laser will remove Yellow. The way the Laser works is it is attracted to the pigment in the ink. Your body puts a layer of collagen over the tattoo to seal it in place. The laser breaks through this layer and disperses the ink particles into your body and your immune system disposes of it. I would give my son the advice to do what he wants to do, even if he's not sure how good at it he is. And grades are important in our house, but I figure if you really love to do something, you will do well at it in school.

When are you applying for, September 09 or 10? If it's for 2010, can you take a drama class outside of school so you will have a reference? If it's for September 09, I'm not sure how you can swing the recommendation — maybe someone from your past experience?

    If [...]

My neice really like the books by Scott Westerfeld (one in particular was called Pretties, which is about these people who get genetically enhanced when they turn a certain age and then they go out to live these altered lives –as opposed to those who are not enhanced yet–the Uglies).
