Has a default judgment been entered? If not, I would get an answer filed ASAP. Not being able to afford an attorney is, not what we would call "excusable default". If the affidavit of service shows that it was served at the wrong address, THAT would be a good reason.

A 'piece of paper' refers to the physical object: a book is made of many pieces of paper bound together.

A 'paper' is a short article, often on a scholarly topic, that is circulated among interested parties. Einstein wrote a paper describing his theory of relativity.

'Paper' is also used as a synonym for 'newspaper' in the US.

Hello,

I tried to post before but it never appeared. I recently moved to Halifax from Calgary, AB. I'm directly related to Glenn Hooper who has posted on here - we share the same Great Grandparents, and his Maternal Grandmother and my Paternal Grandfather are siblings.

I recently made the trip to Wallace Bay and Pugwash to re-trace some of the branches of my family tree. Through a family tree that my late Grandfather prepared before he died in 1981, I think I have my lineage down as per below. I was very fortunate to find Adolphus Purdy's (and Ann's, [...]

I saw a show yrs. ago where they said Otis started recording like crazy, as if? he knew something was going to happen to him. They said the new manager was going to be a White guy and I think back then with all the racial tensions, they kept that quiet. From what I remember of the show, they stated that he was making changes and things weren't said about his plans to change management. I heard the manager got paid, but they never said if the families of the passengers got anything.

Do keep in mind that this was *reported* income. There's a ton of money that goes unreported. Also: Remember that all sorts of things are situational. Garnished wages. Cost of living in a given area, etc. etc. To my mind, the real problem are the loopholes - the ultra wealthy (think CEO level incomes) are in a situation where it makes more sense to have a highly paid accountant finding ways to game the system so that they pay less in taxes; that is to say, taxes that they would pay > taxes they do pay + accountant cost.
It depends on how much you want to work him for better benefits. If he finds out that you're getting better offers elsewhere he might decide to give you a better offer. Be careful though because he could also decide that you're pulling his leg or out of his price range and move on.

Give general answers about salary/benefits/position but don't give too many specifics on the company or location.
